LeBron James’ interest in golf has officially reached fever-pitch levels.
Just seconds after the Lakers superstar helped his team beat the Pelicans on Tuesday night, 111-103, at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, he raced to Bubba Watson, who had some courtside seats for the big NBA game.
James could be seen embracing the two-time Masters champion and his family before having some conversations about, presumably, the King’s new swing.

While James and Watson have known each other for years, the former just picked up golf this past summer, and he’s been absolutely infatuated with it. In fact, on multiple occasions this season, cameras have caught him practicing his swing while on the hardwood.
Watson has yet to shed light on the details of his postgame talk with James, but he did take to his Instagram page to share his excitement about being in attendance for L.A.’s victory.
Watson posted a smiling pic with his family, as well as a video of James hitting his trademark pregame chalk throw.
James, meanwhile, appeared to make a subtle reference to his Watson interaction in a meeting with media members following the win, just after he criticized pundits for not watching enough basketball.
“Some of us watch golf,” a reporter said.
“I’m one of them,” James responded with a smile. “I’m one of them.”
It’ll be at least another day before James can implement any Watson tips on the course — the Lakers play next in a matter of hours in a game on Wednesday night vs. the Spurs in San Antonio.
