LeSean McCoy blasts ‘mid’ Kyler Murray for bragging about accolades

LeSean McCoy doesn’t appear to be a big fan of Kyler Murray.

McCoy, the former 12-year star NFL running back, took to Instagram to voice his thoughts on Murray’s career.

Murray, who is entering his sixth season with the Cardinals after the team drafted him with the No. 1 overall pick in 2019, began listing his accolades while speaking to the media last week.

“To go 43-0 in high school in Texas,” Murray said. “Some are gonna say ‘Oh, it’s high school,’ that’s cool. But nobody else has done it. Go to college, win the Heisman. Get drafted No. 1 overall to the NFL, get drafted No. 9 overall to MLB. Again, no one’s ever done it.

“Offensive rookie of the year, two-time Pro Bowler. And I’m not 6-foot-7, 230 [pounds]. I don’t throw the ball 85 yards. I’m already behind the eight ball, I can’t afford to take any shortcuts, no pun intended.”

But McCoy didn’t care for any of it.

“lol and what has that gotten u ??? Mid NFL career??? What we talking bout [sic],” McCoy commented on an Instagram post that shared Murray’s comments.

Murray, who is listed at 5-foot-10 and 207 pounds, has delivered mixed results throughout his Cardinals tenure.

He took the league by storm as a rookie, and earned Pro Bowl honors the following two seasons.

He led the Cardinals to a postseason appearance in his third season.

But Murray played just 19 games the last two years after suffering a torn ACL during the 2022-23 season.

Last year, Murray threw for 1,799 yards with 10 touchdowns, five interceptions and an 89.4 passer rating in eight games.

The Cardinals went just 3-5 in those games.

McCoy himself was named a Pro Bowler six times and twice a First Team All-Pro.

He spent the first six seasons of his career with the Eagles before stints with the Bills, Chiefs and Buccaneers.
