AUGUSTA, Ga. — We’re approaching the midway point at the 2025 Masters, and golfers in the field at Augusta National are fighting to make it into the weekend.
The top 50 golfers, and those tied, will make the cut after Friday’s round to stay in the running for the green jacket. As of Friday afternoon, with the second round well underway, the cut line is projected to be at 2-over.

One player who will not be playing the weekend is Brooks Koepka, who imploded on his final hole. After making eagle at 15, to get himself to even par and seemingly in comfortable position to make the cut, he bogeyed No. 17, then carded a quadruple bogey at the 18th.
Other big names who are likely to miss the cut are: Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott.
It’s unlikely an amateur will make it to the weekend. The low amateur is Justin Hastings at +4.
Justin Rose backed up his 7-under 65 on Thursday with a 1-under 71 on Friday to retain the lead, though it shrunk from three strokes to just one as Bryson DeChambeau’s 4-under 68 moved him into second place.
