For at least one night next month, Mookie Betts’ brain will be fixated on hardwood and 3-pointers and not on fastballs and infield dirt.
The NBA announced on Tuesday the Dodgers superstar will be a coach at the Ruffles Celebrity Game during the league’s All-Star Week in Los Angeles.
It’s unclear exactly who the baseball player will be managing during the competition — rosters have not yet formally been unveiled — although the NBA did reveal rapper GloRilla and music producer Mustard will be two of the participants.
The game is slated to go down on Feb. 13 at Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
Historically, the annual All-Star Week exhibition has featured musicians, actors, streamers and, of course, athletes.
In last year’s tilt, which went down at Oakland Arena in Oakland, Calif., “Chicago Fire” star Rome Flynn took home MVP honors after he scored 22 points.
Druski, Terrell Owens, Shaboozey and Kai Cenat were some of the other big-names who participated.
While Betts is most known for his prowess on the diamond, the future Hall of Famer has shown often he has some basketball skills.
In fact, just a couple weeks ago, he was seen on social media going toe-to-toe in a tense workout with NBA veteran Chris Paul.
The 75th NBA All-Star game will take place just two days after the Celeb Game at Intuit Dome.
