Odell Beckham Jr. took his talents to Miami — and it didn’t work out.
Beckham and the Dolphins mutually agreed to part ways ahead of the team’s Week 15 road game against the Texans, according to NFL Network.
The former Giants star receiver is looking for a better chance to contribute, per the report, and is expected to be released Friday. Should he clear waivers, he’ll be free to sign with any team next week.
NFL Network noted that two of Beckham’s former teams, the Rams and Ravens, are in the playoff hunt. In theory, they would be the type of teams looking to add veteran depth.
Beckham signed a one-year deal worth up to $8.25 million with the Dolphins this offseason, actually taking less money to join the AFC East squad than head elsewhere.
Being the No. 3 wide receiver — and at best No. 5 option in the offense — hasn’t provided many chances though.
Beckham has nine catches for 55 yards with zero touchdowns through nine games after missing the first four games due to an offseason procedure.
