Packers’ Rashan Gary startles ESPN’s Lisa Salters after crashing Jordan Love interview: ‘He scared me’

Lisa Salters’ postgame interview with Packers quarterback Jordan Love featured a cameo she certainly didn’t expect.

When catching up with Love following Green Bay’s shutout 34-0 win over New Orleans on “Monday Night Football” at Lambeau Field, the ESPN reporter was startled by the quarterback’s teammate, defensive end Rashan Gary, who briefly crashed their sideline chat.

“Jordan, you’re officially going to the playoffs, how does that sound to you?” Salters asked Love, who replied, “It’s amazing, this is what we worked for all season,” as Gary entered the frame.

“Stop playing with him!” Gary appeared to exclaim, catching Salters off guard. “Once again, punch the ticket!”

As a fired-up Gary, 27, walked away, Salters told Love, “He scared me.”

The quarterback, 26, then turned his attention back to Salters’ original question about the Packers’ playoff berth and referenced Gary.

“What he said, what he said,” Love responded.

The Packers secured a playoff spot for the fifth time in six seasons under head coach Matt LaFleur following Monday’s victory over the Saints.

Love went 16-for-28 for 182 yards and a touchdown as Green Bay improved to 11-4 on the season.

Gary, a first-rounder out of Michigan in 2019 who has spent his entire NFL career in Green Bay, had two tackles Monday.

With a divisional showdown against the Vikings (13-2) on deck, the Packers are now awaiting an update on receiver Christian Watson, who left Monday’s game with a knee injury.

“There’s some concern there, certainly,” LaFleur said, according to ESPN. “We’re going to get some more testing done tomorrow. Hopefully, I’ll have an answer for you tomorrow.”
