The hits keep coming for the Pelicans, who will now reportedly be without star Brandon Ingram for an indefinite period.

The one-time NBA All-Star and 2020 Most Improved Player has a significant high-grade, low ankle sprain and is expected to be done for an extended period, per ESPN.

This piles on the Pelicans’ injury-riddled season, as they now stand at a Western Conference-worst 5-19 following Saturday’s loss to the Thunder.

Ingram left with an ankle injury during the Pelicans’ 119-109 loss to the Thunders on Saturday.

He exited after just 19 minutes of play, where his night ended with only five points.

On the season, Ingram is averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest while shooting 46.5 percent from the field, 37.4 percent from 3-point range and 85.5 percent on free throws.

At 18 games played, Ingram has already missed six other games on the year.

This comes on the heels of the recent returns of starting guards Dejounte Murray and CJ McCollum.

McCollum had been out with a thigh injury after playing four games but returned to action on November 25.

Murray, who suffered a broken hand on opening night on Nov. 27, returned the game after McCollum’s return.

Star forward Zion Williamson has been limited to six games this season due to a hamstring injury, and he’s scheduled to be re-evaluated later this month.

And this past week, starting forward Herb Jones returned from a shoulder injury.

Still, Ingram will be joining Williamson on the injury report, an ongoing list that also includes backup point guard Jose Alvarado and fellow backcourt standout Jordan Hawkins, both of whom were playing integral roles with the Pelicans before their setbacks.
