The bracket is out for the Women’s March Madness 2026 tournament.
That means it’s time again to separate the pack-leading Huskies (UConn) from the bracket-busting Huskies (Washington) and the title-minded University of South Carolina from the West Coast’s USC.
UConn — owners of a 50-game winning streak that includes last season’s national title and a perfect 34-0 start to this season — are the No. 1 overall seed behind the superlative combo of Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd.

The other No. 1 seeds went to UCLA (who were unbeaten in Big Ten play), Texas and Dawn Staley’s perennial power South Carolina.
The ranks of contenders also includes LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.
The tourney tips off with the First Four on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by the first round on Friday and Saturday and the second round next Sunday and Monday. The opening two rounds are hosted by the 16 top-four seeds at campus sites.
The Sweet 16 and Elite Eight will be played March 27-30 at a pair of regional sites: Sacramento, Calif., and Fort Worth, Texas.
The Dance winds up in Phoenix for the Final Four with the national semifinals on Friday, April 3 and the championship game on Sunday, April 5.
