They didn’t whisper it. They didn’t hedge it. Byron Young and Kobie Turner said it the way pass rushers always do—like a wish list written in dents and bruises.
In an exclusive conversation with the California Post, the Rams’ young defensive cornerstones Byron Young and Kobie Turner revealed the five quarterbacks they most want to sack. The answers came fast, confident, and a little dangerous.

“Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, and Joe Burrow,” Young said, rolling through the names like muscle memory. MVPs. Franchise saviors. Quarterbacks whose highlights live forever—and whose jerseys sell by the millions. For a linebacker built on speed and violence, that’s the point. You don’t chase anonymity. You hunt greatness.
Turner’s list, though, carried a sharper edge.
The Rams’ breakout defensive end leaned into familiarity first—Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy, Kyler Murray—the NFC West quarterbacks he sees twice a year, the ones whose tendencies he studies like scripture. Division games leave marks. They also create grudges.
But Turner saved his best answer for last.
Caleb Williams.
The former USC Heisman Trophy winner, now with the Chicago Bears, still lives rent-free in Turner’s memory after that fourth-down miracle in the NFC Divisional Round.
Williams, falling backward, chaos collapsing, uncorked a touchdown off his back foot from the 40-yard-line as Turner closed in, tying the game and forcing overtime. It was beautiful. It was brutal. It was unfinished business.
“I did like sacking Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy, and Kyler Murray,” Turner said. “But I’d like to have an opportunity to get to Caleb Williams. I havet to get him.”
That’s the thing about great pass rushers. They don’t run from moments that hurt. They circle them. They wait. And when the pocket collapses, they collect names like trophies.
