The Rangers again will be without Adam Fox’s services for a while.
The team put its star defenseman on long-term injured reserve with a lower-body injury on Tuesday, putting him on the sidelines for a minimum of 10 games.
It marks the second spin on LTIR for Fox, who returned to the lineup on Dec. 31 following a 14-game absence due to a shoulder injury.

Three games later, Fox is once again out of commission.
The 27-year-old has posted four goals and 28 points in 30 games this season.
He was notably left off Team USA’s Olympic roster ahead of the 2026 Games after having been a key part of the U.S.’s 4 Nations Face-Off squad.
The news of Fox’s latest injury comes as the team is placing goalie Igor Shesterin on injured reserve after he left Monday’s loss against the Mammoth in the first period.
