Familiarity will breed contempt at its highest order Sunday when the Ravens play the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium for first place in the AFC North.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is the longest-tenured NFL coach, having been on the job in Pittsburgh since 2007. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has been with Baltimore since 2008.
“We’re highly familiar with them, [but] we don’t seek or find comfort in that, because we know that they’re highly familiar with us,” Tomlin said this week.
For Steelers, who enter the game at 7-2 and leading the 7-3 Ravens by a half-game, this is their first division game of the season, which is the latest a team has played its first divisional game in NFL history.
