Todd Monken is pointing the finger squarely at himself.

The Ravens’ offensive coordinator has been among those taking heat for the team’s myriad problems this past season, which ended with Baltimore missing the playoffs and head coach John Harbaugh getting fired this week.

“I didn’t coach Lamar [Jackson] well enough,” Monken said on the “Ryan Ripken Show” on Thursday. “I didn’t have as good of a relationship as I could have. I didn’t do the things we needed to do this year to win enough games to give ourselves a chance. I believe that.”

Jackson struggled mightily in 2025, a year after he and Monken helmed the NFL’s top offense.

Injuries played a big role in the QB’s regression.

Reports painted the relationship between Jackson and his offensive coordinator as strained — The Athletic’s Diana Russini claimed Harbaugh’s hesitance to consider moving on from Monken was a “pressure point” that helped lead to his firing — but Monken pushed back on that notion.

“Lamar and I, to me, had a good relationship,” the 59-year-old said. “Could it have been better? Of course. Lamar and I never had an issue.”

“I never saw Lamar and coach Harbaugh not have a great relationship. I never saw that,” he added. “I never saw coach Harbaugh and any of our players not have a great relationship. Never. Not one time.”

With the Ravens in the market for a new coach, Monken is likely to find himself elsewhere next season after three years with Balitmore.

He’ll leave town with some regrets.

“I really wish Lamar would have been healthy and seen what we kept building on,” Monken said. “Where we went from ’23 to ’24, and then we just never got it going. That’s what you have to live with.”
