Robert Saleh threw a few terse words on two separate brushfires involving Jets stars Garrett Wilson and Aaron Rodgers.

Wilson told ESPN Radio’s Bart Scott on Tuesday that the Jets don’t “do a lot of different stuff “on offense the way that other teams do.

“I think we know our identity: It’s just about going out and executing it or figure out if it’s going to work,” Wilson said. “I know, personally, my route tree hasn’t been what it has been the last two years.”

When the quote went viral, Wilson went to social media to clarify that his answer was in response to a “strung out question” from Scott, who asked if the Jets are trying to find an identity like the Ravens found around Derrick Henry.

“I’m just glad he added context to the quote,” Saleh said before Wednesday’s practice.

Asked again about the different “route tree” part of Wilson’s assessment, Saleh said, “I’m not going to address it.”

The head coach also tried to shut down the idea of friction between him and Rodgers over the quarterback’s notoriously complex cadence.

The Jets committed five false starts against the Broncos, which led Saleh to say after the game that “we’ve got to figure it out, whether or not we’re good enough or ready to handle all the cadence.”

Rodgers said adjusting the cadence is “one way to do it,” but another is “to hold them accountable” after penalties.

Three days later, Saleh said, “There is no cadence issue. There never was a cadence issue. That was created [by others]. Aaron and I are fantastic. Love the guy.”
