Shedeur Sanders might be on even thinner ice than he was on NFL draft day.

Sanders was expected to be picked in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft but wound up getting selected 144th overall by the Browns, and it now looks like the fourth-string quarterback’s odds of breaking camp with Cleveland are dwindling by the day.

Polymarket, a prediction market service, projects that Sanders has a 44 percent chance of being cut by the Browns before Week 1 of the NFL season.

Only $24,565 has been bet into this market so far, so it will undoubtedly move in all directions by the time final roster cutdowns come around.

The recent line move is stemming from a litany of bettors that are selling off their “no” shares over the past two weeks, with Sanders’ roster uncertainty beginning to grow.

Still, the idea of Sanders not even making the Browns’ roster is something that seemed impossible just six months ago.

Sanders has been working as the team’s fourth quarterback for much of this offseason, but playing time — in theory — should have opened up a bit, with two of the Browns’ other quarterbacks, Dillon Gabriel and Kenny Pickett, nursing hamstring injuries.

But Colorado product isn’t exactly healthy either.

Sanders missed practice over the weekend with a shoulder injury, but returned Monday and finally got some reps against the first-team defense.

Cleveland opted to sign former Pro Bowler Tyler Huntley to a contract to compete for a roster spot as Pickett and Gabriel recover from injury.

The Browns open their preseason slate on the road Friday against the Panthers.
