Oklahoma State is expected to hire North Texas head coach Eric Morris as its next football coach, Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger confirmed on Tuesday.
Morris, 40, has been the head coach at North Texas for three seasons. He’s led the Mean Green to a 10-1 record this season following 5-7 and 6-7 campaigns in his first two seasons. Morris would take over for interim head coach Doug Meacham, who replaced longtime head coach Mike Gundy midseason.

Oklahoma State fired Gundy in September following a 1-2 start. Gundy was in his 21st season as head coach at the time of his dismissal after taking the job in 2005.
