Rick Pitino and St. John’s had already landed the No. 1 transfer portal class in the country, but they didn’t stop there.
Now, it is building for the future along with the present.
On Wednesday, the Johnnies added to an already stout roster with intriguing four-star, top-75 high school prospect Kelvin Odih, a former West Virginia pledge from Providence, R.I.
The athletic and defensive-minded 6-foot-4 wing opened up his recruitment when West Virginia coach Darian DeVries left for Indiana, and visited St. John’s over the weekend. He also took a trip to Utah, and was being recruited by Texas, Louisville and Maryland, his mentor and AAU coach with Rhode Island Elite Nick Light told The Post.
