PITTSBURGH — It took an entire half of the long-awaited Week 5 Sunday night game, but one team finally got in the end zone.
After trading field goals with the Dallas Cowboys, the Pittsburgh Steelers scored the first touchdown of the night to take a 10-6 lead with 11:50 left in the third quarter, as Justin Fields found tight end Connor Heyward for a 16-yard score.

The connecting with Heyward is something of a redemption for the pair after Fields overthrew Heyward on what could’ve been a big play on their first drive.
Fields’ strike also came several plays after he briefly exited following a big hit by defensive end Tyrus Wheat, who was flagged for roughing the passer. Fields missed two plays, including a 19-yard pass from backup quarterback Kyle Allen to tight end Pat Freiermuth, but he came back to throw four straight completions, including the touchdown.
