There is always next year.

If you’re anyone besides a Philadelphia Eagles fan, you’re going into the offseason disappointed as another year has past without hoisting a Lombardi Trophy.

Next year’s Super Bowl race will be wide open according to ESPN BET, which has the Chiefs and Ravens as co-favorites to win next year’s championship at +650 odds.

It’s a surprising look, all things considered, as the Ravens were eliminated by the Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Buffalo comes in at +700 to win the Super Bowl, the third-best odds, and in a three-way tie with the Eagles and Lions.

These figures project for a wide-open Super Bowl chase next season, as this is the highest opening odds for a favorite in two years, according to sportsoddshistory.com.

Baltimore was the highest-rated team in the NFL multiple times during the season, according to FTN’s defense-adjusted value over average (DVOA) stat.

ESPN BET tells the Post that most of the money is on the Eagles at this juncture.

They were +850 as recently as Sunday, but a whopping 20.9% of the money came in on Philadelphia thanks to their beatdown on the Chiefs, forcing the movement to +700.

Further down the oddsboard, you have the 49ers at 14/1.

You may remember that after losing last year’s Super Bowl, San Francisco immediately opened as +500 favorites to win it all in 2024 before a horrific injury-riddled season came for them.

The Cincinnati Bengals (16/1), Packers (20/1), and Commanders (20/1) close out the immediate list of contenders.

If betting on this market so early, you’re best off finding a team that has big cap space and a team willing to spend it big on an offense with a good young quarterback.

Immediately coming to mind is Drake Maye and the Patriots (75/1).

They have a new coach in Mike Vrabel and could attempt to acquire Cooper Kupp in a trade or sign Tee Higgins — should he become a free agent — to boost their roster and offensive ceiling.

Betting on the NFL?

Perhaps the most depressing number on the board is the Giants, who are 250/1 to win the Super Bowl and appear as hopeless as they have ever been.

Big Blue looks to draft a quarterback with the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft as coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen fight for their jobs this year.
