The Post’s Knicks-Pistons first-round playoff predictions

The Post makes predictions for the Knicks-Pistons first-round playoff series:

Stefan Bondy

The Knicks have the talent advantage, coaching advantage and experience advantage. There would have to be a confluence of negative events for them to blow it, and I’m predicting that won’t happen.

Prediction: Knicks in 6

Peter Botte

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (#11) being fouled by Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (#0) in the 4th quarter of a game at Madison Square Garden.

The formerly downtrodden Knicks are easily the more experienced playoff team here, and it’s hard to imagine Jalen Brunson not rising to the occasion again and ultimately willing them past the dynamic Cade Cunningham and his chippy Pistons.

Prediction: Knicks in 6

Zach Braziller

This won’t be easy. The Pistons don’t fear the Knicks and they will steal one of the first two games at the Garden. But Brunson is the best player in this series, and he carries the Knicks past Detroit in a memorable Game 7 at MSG.

Prediction: Knicks in 7

Brian Lewis

The Knicks still haven’t figured out how to shore up their defense, and Cunningham has lit them up all season. But they could slow him with OG Anunoby and have an edge in experience and talent across the rest of the lineup. If they can keep their starters’ legs fresh, they’ll squeeze by the Pistons … barely.

Prediction: Knicks in 7

Cade Cunningham is one of the stars on the Pistons.

Jared Schwartz

The Knicks stumbled through the end of the regular season and the Pistons looked like a particularly concerning matchup for them in their four games against each other. They’ll push the Knicks to the brink, but the Knicks have more offensive firepower and experience, which will make the difference. It’s not the Pistons’ time quite yet.

Prediction: Knicks in 7

Mike Vaccaro

It’s become popular sport to poke holes at the Knicks and to pump the Pistons, and both are at least a little fair. But the Knicks are healthy and they’re salty. The Pistons are coming but they’re not quite there yet.

Prediction: Knicks in 5
