Tom Brady may be more “stunned” by the news that his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen is having a child with her boyfriend Joaquim Valente, than the Falcons were when they blew a 28-3 lead to the Patriots in Super Bowl LI.
The football legend “never imagined” that she would have a baby with Valente, a source told Page Six.
“Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquin but he never imagined they would be having a child together,” the source told Page Six. “It just wasn’t something that was on his radar. So when Gisele broke the news to him he was stunned, to say the least.”
Brady had only learned of the pregnancy a few days ago and has “grown used to the idea and he’s happy for Gisele.”
News of Bündchen’s pregnancy first broke on Monday and TMZ has since reported that she is five or six months along with the baby expected to arrive in early 2025.
“At the end of the day, Tom’s sole focus is on his children and his career. What Gisele decides to do with her own life is really none of his business,” the source told Page Six.
Brady, 47, and Bündchen, 44, share son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11 together.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion also has another son Jack, 17, from his previous marriage to actress Bridget Moynahan.
Brady and Bündchen married in 2009 and their divorce was finalized two years ago.
Bündchen began dating Valente in June 2023, while Brady had been briefly linked to model Irina Shayk.
Since retiring from Football, the quarterback has begun his career in broadcasting alongside Kevin Burkhardt as Fox’s No. 1 broadcast team.
He had recently come under fire for an offensive term he used to describe Bills quarterback Josh Allen during the Fox broadcast of the Bills-Seahawks game.
