Travis Kelce is well aware his jam-packed weekend in New York with girlfriend Taylor Swift was widely documented.
During Wednesday’s installment of the “New Heights” podcast he co-hosts with older brother Jason Kelce, the Chiefs tight end quipped about his appearance Sunday at Arthur Ashe Stadium, where he and the pop superstar packed on the PDA during Jannik Sinner’s U.S. Open win over Taylor Fritz.
“Super low-key, super low-key, didn’t do much,” Travis, 34, responded to Jason’s intro to the show, telling listeners they’ll be covering the three-time Super Bowl champ’s “low-key Sunday” at the U.S. Open.
Upon opening his 12th NFL season last Thursday with a 27-20 win over the Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium with Swift in attendance, Travis jetted to the East Coast a day later with the 14-time Grammy winner, where they enjoyed a date night and a starry wedding.
Swift and Travis then ventured to Flushing on Sunday to catch the men’s singles final with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany.
The foursome was seen having a ball in the box, with Swift and Travis — who started dating last year — dancing and kissing throughout the afternoon outing.
“It was my first time going, second time going to a tennis match, or at least a professional tennis match,” Travis said on Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights.”
“… I looked to my left and my right and every single time I did I saw a familiar face. There were so many f–king people there to see the action and especially the final game, knowing that an American was in the U.S. Open, Taylor Fritz. Unfortunately, couldn’t come away with the win, but it was still fun to see two of the top dogs in the game go at it for a couple hours.”
Fritz, in his first Grand Slam finals appearance, fell to Italy’s Sinner, 6-3, 6-4, 7-5.
Travis spoke about the quiet environment inside the venue and curbing the urge to heckle Sinner.
“I dressed the part, I acted the part, I was very quiet, except for during intermissions when they were playing music,” the three-time Super Bowl champ shared. “That was about the only time I was really showing my personality.”
It was a rare fall Sunday free for Kelce.
The Chiefs return to action on Sunday at Arrowhead with a 4:25 p.m. game against the Bengals, who stunningly dropped their home opener to the rebuilding Patriots last week.
It remains to be seen if Swift will be in attendance.
She is currently on hiatus from her blockbuster Eras Tour, which will resume next month in North America following summer performances in Europe.
