USA-Canada rematch in 2025 4 Nations Face-Off championship — Get tickets

Now this is the Stanley Cup of All Star Games.

On Thursday, Feb. 20, the 4 Nations Face Off Championship tournament will conclude with a championship showdown between Auston Matthews and Matthew Tkachuk’s USA squad and Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby’s Canada club at Boston’s TD Garden.

This game is the culmination of a round-robin six game tourney — that replaced this year’s NHL All-Star Game — between the aforementioned USA and Canada teams as well as Finland and Sweden.

Coming into the Final, both the USA and Canada sport 2-1 records. In their lone matchup at Montreal’s Bell Centre, the Americans came out on top with an impressive 3-1 victory. Jake Guentzel scored a pair of goals for the US while McDavid chipped in the only point for Team Canada, breaking The Great North’s 17-game win streak in “best-on-best” tourney play.

What was most notable about the contest though were the three (!) fistfights that went down over the first nine seconds. As soon as the game got underway, the US’ Matthew Tkachuk and Canada’s Brandon Hagel came to fisticuffs.

“I did it for the flag, not the cameras,” Hagel, a 26-year-old Tampa Bay Lightning forward, said.

Two more battles over a booing of the US’ National Anthem — due to Trump’s tariffs on Canadian goods and his suggestion that Canada become the 51st U.S. state — followed shortly thereafter.

“The game is in a better place because last night’s game existed,” Canada coach Jon Cooper stated.

“We’re one of the only sports that still has fighting in it. It’s a war out there,” Canada forward Travis Konecny added. “It’s funny: You put the flag behind the meaning of something and guys’ switches just kind of flip.”

While we can’t predict what will happen at the highly-anticipated Final on Thursday, we do know that the best way to witness this rematch is live.

If you’d like to be there, last-minute tickets are still available.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets was $783 before fees on Vivid Seats.

For those that would like to get closer to the action, 100-level seats start at $1,353 before fees.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

About the 4 Nations Face Off Championship matchup

This is a big one.

When the US and Canada squads — made up exclusively of active NHL players — face off on Thursday evening, this will be the first senior men’s hockey championship matchup between the North American countries since they met in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

In that contest, Canada ended up winning 3-2; Sidney Crosby scored a goal in that contest, which was now 15 years ago.

Ahead of this year’s highly-anticipated battle, the US beat Finland 6-1 and Canada 3-1; their sole loss came at the hands of Sweden, who defeated them by a 2-1 score.

As you likely know, Canada’s only L was against the US on Feb. 15. Their pair of Ws were a 4-3 overtime squeaker over Sweden and a decisive 5-3 victory against Finland.

How to watch the 4 Nations Face Off Championship

If you’re unable to ship up to Boston, you can catch the game live on ESPN and ESPN+ in the US.

For those in Canada, make sure to tune into Sportsnet or TVA Sports (French) to watch.
