
Talk about a letdown.
The Warriors come to MSG once per year and, along with the Lakers, the game is always circled on the calendar. It’s a show. But the Warriors are also old, fading, injured.
So they arrived for Sunday’s prime-time NBC slot with a projected starting lineup of Gui Santos, Brandin Podziemski and three TBD players you probably won’t recognize.
Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler III and Kristaps Porzingis, among others, were unavailable. Even younger sibling Seth Curry was out.
