What the Giants can gain from wins that hurt their NFL Draft position

Tanks for nothing.

It sounds as if that is the way the Giants are approaching these last seven games. They are 2-8 and going nowhere. When they come out of their bye week, they will play one inconsequential game after another.

But they will not be trying to lose to help their NFL Draft status.

They will play four more games at MetLife Stadium, and maybe they actually will give their paying customers a treat and win one of them — thus far, they are 0-5 at home. They play two more games against NFC East rivals, and maybe the Giants actually will win one of those games — thus far, they are 0-4 in their division matchups. They play one more nationally televised game — Thanksgiving Day against the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium — and maybe, just maybe, the Giants will find a way not to give their fans heartburn as the sweet potatoes and pecan pie get digested.
