What the Knicks still need to sort out before the games matter again: Miles McBride’s health, Mikal Bridges’ struggles, playoff matchup to avoid

There’s certainly a part of me — and I’m guessing part of many fans, as well — that wants to press the fast-forward button.

Just get to the playoffs.

The Knicks, barring a shocker, will be seeded somewhere between No. 2 and No. 4 in the Eastern Conference. They’ll host Game 1 in a month with the opponent TBD.

But there is no fast-forward button on the regular season. Trust me, I researched this while waiting at the Department of Motor Vehicles. I googled it again late, hoping for a miracle scientific breakthrough while on the tarmac because of a “mechanical issue.”
