The Jets have many, many decisions to make this offseason. One of the biggest is whether to re-sign running back Breece Hall, who is scheduled to hit free agency in March.
Hall rushed for 1,065 yards and four touchdowns this season, eclipsing the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career.
Hall is just 24, but there will be a question about how much to invest in a running back.
On Monday, general manager Darren Mougey was asked if the Jets want Hall back.
“Breece is a good player,” Mougey said. “I want as many good players back as we can. We’ll go through this process and see how free agency unfolds.”
Mougey would not say whether the team will consider using the franchise or transition tag to keep Hall.

Jets coach Aaron Glenn needs to hire a defensive coordinator after firing Steve Wilks last month.
Glenn said he will finish up meetings about the roster in the next few days and then evaluate his coaching staff and begin working on hiring a new coordinator.
Glenn was asked what he is looking for in a coordinator.

“I like to be aggressive,” Glenn said. “I want to make sure that whoever the guy is that we do have in that there’s a lot of synergy between me and that coach. I’m not saying there wasn’t synergy between me and Wilks. I want to make sure, as I go through this process, that that’s not a step I don’t miss.”
Glenn said synergy is not just about scheme, but in their relationship.
“That has a lot to do with it personally, as far as fit, as far as how I see defense being played, all those things are huge,” Glenn said. “Compatibility is just as important as coachability. I want to make sure we see things the same way. I want to make sure that we can vibe as far as sitting down and talking about how we see football also.”
