An Argentinian singer and model was shot and killed by motorcycle riding bandits just days before he was set to star on a reality television show, according to reports.
Fede Dorcaz, 29, was shot three times — including once in the neck — on Thursday in the Amplacion Daniel Garza neighborhood, the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City announced.
Officials have not announced a motive and have no suspects in custody but the incident was an apparent attempted robbery, according to multiple outlets.

The singer and model was on the way home from dance rehearsals when two motorcycles intercepted the vehicle and fired multiple shots, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In mere days, Dorcaz was set to appear on Mexican dance competition show “Las Estrellas Bailan En Hoy” — which translates to “The Stars Dance Today” —- which mourned the loss of the rising star.

“The HOY family mourns the sensitive passing of our friend and colleague, Fede Dorcaz,” the show shared in a post to its X account.
“We join in the grief that overwhelms his entire family, his parents, and his girlfriend Mariana Avila.”
Avila and Dorcaz were set to appear on the show as a couple for the new season of the popular program.
The grieving lover, who is an influencer with a popular YouTube channel, mourned the senseless killing in heartbreaking posts to social media.

“You will always be my favorite person in the whole world, I love you I love you I love you and I will always love you,” Avila wrote on X Friday morning.
“I don’t want to spend one more day without you, baby, I’m waiting for your goodnight message, love please come back, you know I was never that strong without you by my side,” she wrote in the following post.
Dorcaz was known in Mexico for his hits “No Eres Tu” and Cara Bonita” which both charted in the Top 10 on Mexican radio, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He also modeled for Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana, that outlet reported.
