An orange-colored gravestone was added to the joint tomb of slain hostage Shiri Bibas and her two redheaded toddlers, Ariel and Kfir, as a tribute to the family who became a tragic symbol of Hamas’ brutality.
The colorful grave, placed during the one-month anniversary of the family’s funeral, includes the victims’ epitaphs and a message celebrating their lives, local KANN reported.
“It was you who made living all worthwhile, oh lovin’ you, it’s the best,” an English inscription on the tomb reads.
The tomb labeled Shiri, 32, as a loving daughter, mother and sister touted for her proclivity to always look out for other people.
Ariel, who was kidnapped when he was 4 years old, was described as “an amazing and mischievous son with a shy smile, beloved by all, a child of light and love.
His little brother, Kfir, who was taken when he was just nine months old, was remembered as a “lover of hugs and cuddles.”
Shiri and her boys became a symbol of the horrors of the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack when Hamas released video of the terrified mother and her boys being kidnapped from their home.
Kfir was the youngest hostage taken by Hamas, dying in captivity before he could even celebrate his first birthday.
Israeli officials believe the children and their mother were killed by Hamas, with autopsies contradicting Hamas’ claims that they were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza.
Grieving husband and father Yarden Bibas was also forced to blame Israel for their deaths in a Hamas propaganda video, with the heartbroken patriarch freed last month only to receive his children’s bodies weeks later.
Shiri’s body, however, was not immediately released after Hamas claimed an “error” caused them to send over the body of a Palestinian woman instead.
The slain mother’s body was released days later, with the three victims buried together at Israel’s Tsoher Regional Cemetery during a funeral procession that drew thousands of people.
