He didn’t explicitly confirm Khamenei’s death and his words contradict an earlier statement from Iran’s foreign minister that their leader still lives.

Khamenei and Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian are “safe,” Esmail Baghaei, a spokesman for Iran’s foreign ministry, told Sky News.

“They are all safe and sound,” he said. “We have had some more some commanders who have been martyred as the result of this terrorist act of aggression.”

In the meantime, Netanyahu used his address to directly appeal to the Iranian people, telling them they have a “once in a generation chance” to overthrow the Iranian regime.

He urges the Iranians to “take to the streets en masse” and “get the job done.”
