Horrifying footage shows the tragic moment a massive air conditioner fell from the second story of an apartment building in India, leaving one teenager dead and another in critical condition.
The AC’s outdoor unit appeared to land directly on the head of 18-year-old Jitesh, who was sitting on a scooter talking to his friend, Pranshu, 17, according to the Times of India.
He was rushed to a hospital in Karol Bagh, New Delhi, but did not survive, according to local reports. The other teenager, Pranshu, 17, who was standing at the time of the impact, was also hit.
Pranshu appeared to tenderly hug Jitesh goodbye, according to chilling footage shared by Need to Know.
A moment later, the AC unit came crashing down, seemingly falling from the sky.
Local police have initiated an investigation into possible negligence and endangerment, sources told local media.
