Two Americans, including US Army veteran, shot in Mexico while local cops did nothing to help: report

Two Americans were shot, including a US Army veteran left fighting for his life, after they were chased by armed men in Mexico — while local cops did nothing to help, according to one of them.

Mckim Robert Vance told local media he and war vet Sisson James Thomas were driving through the city of Caborca in the border state of Sonora on their way home from a holiday in Porto Penasco when “two vehicles with their lights off stopped behind us.”

Gunmen in the vehicles suddenly opened fire — hitting Vance, who was behind ther wheel of their jeep, according to NewsX.

Terrified, Vance kept driving — with cops initially readying to pull him over for speeding, just to race off when they realized the danger, he alleged.

“We were driving the wrong way and we found another officer on that side of the road and he turned on his lights because, of course, we were breaking the rules of the road,” Vance claimed.

“As soon as he saw the vehicles chasing us, [the police officer] turned them off and accelerated in the opposite direction.”

The war veteran was rushed to Caborca General Hospital and was then flown to Nogales, Arizona where he is still fighting for his life, the report said.
