Geno Smith had yet another encounter with cops in Florida last week.
The New York Jets quarterback’s latest run-in with the Davie Police Department occurred at 11:20 a.m. on July 6 after he was accused of going 25 mph over the speed limit near his mansion in Davie.
Smith received a compliment for the 2025 silver Aston Martin he was in before he was chided for the way he was driving it, body camera footage obtained by The California Post shows.
“All right, sir,” the policeman said to Smith, according to the video. “Beautiful car. Seventy miles an hour, man, that’s too fast for 45.”
Smith was then asked to present his license, but he informed the cop that he didn’t have it.
“I live right here; my license and everything is in my house,” Smith said, before revealed the vehicle belonged to a friend.
Ultimately, the cop took down Smith’s information and explained to him he was required to have a physical ID on him at all times.
“My bad,” Smith said.
Smith was eventually given two citations — one for unlawful speed and another for not carrying his license — before he was allowed to leave.
The incident marked the third time in the last three months that Smith has been questioned by the Davie PD.
In April, Smith was pulled over for allegedly driving a Rolls Royce with improper tags, and he and police did not have the most pleasant exchange.
Last month, cops showed up to his house to question him after a woman alleged he “beat me up” in a heated dispute. Police initially closed a probe into the matter but reopened it and an investigation remains ongoing.
Smith, who was traded to the Jets this offseason from the Raiders, has not yet publicly commented on any of his three meetings with police officers.
