Unbelievable moment Oregon lunatic’s rifle-shooting tractor escape ends in a tank slamming disaster

A rifle-wielding maniac has been arrested after shooting at arborists and a police drone before trying to escape on a tiny tractor.

Wild footage showed 53-year-old Erik Gordon Shunn’s dramatic arrest in Clackamas County, Oregon, on Saturday.

SWAT units swooped and put up a surveillance drone over the suspect, with video showing him lying on his back firing towards the device.

SWAT personnel pinned his tractor with an armored vehicle and took him into custody.

Investigators now believe Shunn fired over 200 rounds during the standoff. Shunn eventually set his rifle down and attempted to flee on a red compact tractor.

SWAT personnel quickly seized the opportunity to pin the tractor with an armored vehicle, arresting Shunn roughly an hour after the initial 911 call.

“SWAT personnel used this window of opportunity because they believed it provided the highest likelihood of safely apprehending Shunn,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

First responders immediately checked on neighbors and workers to evacuate them safely from the area. No injuries were reported.
