The winner of a $167 million Powerball jackpot was arrested for allegedly strangling a woman Sunday morning – his fourth bust since his historic win.

James Farthing, from rural Kentucky, is charged with strangulation and assault – both for domestic violence – after winning his state’s largest ever Powerball prize last year, WHAS 11 reported.

He allegedly returned to his home in Georgetown from a boating trip and got into a fight with a woman — ending with his hands around her neck, the outlet reported, citing an arrest warrant.

The victim had welts on her neck, according to the warrant.

It was the fourth criminal charge for Farthing since winning the big prize.

He was recently charged in a hit-and-run that took place last November after allegedly smashing his Corvette into the back of another car in Lexington and fleeing the scene on foot.

Farthing was also arrested this February and charged with intimidating a participant in the legal process, according to WHAS 11.

He is also facing charges of battery on a law enforcement officer after allegedly kicking a Florida deputy in the head in April, 2025 — just days after his lotto win.

Farthing pocketed his fortune after he bought a $2 Powerball ticket from Clark’s Pump N Shop in Georgetown, in anticipation of the massive $167.3 million prize, which was soon to be drawn.

He decided to split his multi-million-dollar fortune with his mom, Linda Grizzle.

“It’s going to be a good Mother’s Day,” Grizzle said after the win. “This is going to pay off my debt.”
