A horrifying holiday gun attack left eight people shot — including four children — when gunfire erupted as they were out to watch 4th of July fireworks near the waterfront in Brooklyn, police and sources said.
The shots rang out at about 10:35 p.m. at 2930 W. 30th Street near Surf Ave in Coney Island, not far from the boardwalk where a fireworks display had been set for 9:45 p.m., police say.
The victims include a 33-year-old male and a 21-year-old female shot in the chest; a 25-year-old female, a 14-year-old male, a 12-year-old male, and a 7-year-old male shot in the legs or thigh; a 37-year-old male shot in the shoulder; and a 6-year-old male shot in the stomach.

Seven of the victims are in stable condition, while the 21-year-old female is in critical condition.
All were transported to local hospitals.
Police have yet to release details on the suspects or a motive.
The incident remains under investigation.
