Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced on Wednesday that this will be his last season, after signing a one-year contract with the team.
The 42-year-old confirmed he will be retiring from the NFL after 22 seasons.
“Aaron, do you believe this could be your last year or do you think about that right now?” a reporter asked Rodgers.
“Yes,” he replied.
“As in your last year?” the reporter asked.
“This is it, yep,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers signed with the Packers in 2005 and became the quarterback for Green Bay in 2008 after Brett Favre retired.
In 2023, Rodgers signed with the New York Jets.
Rodgers suffered an ankle injury 5 minutes into his debut with the New York Jets on September 11, 2023, and was out for the entire season.
In a display of patriotism on the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Rodgers took the field holding a giant American flag.

Rodgers signed with Pittsburgh in 2025 and renewed a one-year deal with the Steelers last weekend.
