A two-year-old girl has died a little over two months after she almost drowned at a Houston hotel pool on Memorial Day.

Little Annelise Camp died on Monday after spending months in hospitals on a ventilator.

“Annelise is now with Jesus. While our hearts are broken, we trust in His perfect love, His faithfulness, and His promises,” her parents, Johnston and Joy Camp, wrote on a GoFundMe page.

“We know she is fully healed and experiencing the joy of being in His presence.

“Her precious life will never be taken for granted. God used Annelise to touch countless lives, and we pray that her testimony continues to draw people closer to Christ while bringing hope to children and families facing similar circumstances,” they wrote on the page, which has reached over $118,000.

“There are far too many testimonies to share, and we are humbled by the ways God has already used her life. We pray that her legacy continues to inspire compassion, encourage meaningful change, and bring hope to families for years to come.”

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday at a Houston baptist church.

Camp had been fighting for her life in the hospital for around 10 weeks following her near-drowning.

She accidentally wandered into a hotel swimming pool after taking off her life jacket, her dad previously said.

Camp’s 12-year-old cousin found her at the bottom of the pool and the toddler’s heartbeat didn’t return for almost an hour.

“She had water coming out of her mouth,” Johnston Camp told KTRK at the time.

The little girl was rushed to Texas Children’s Hospital and put on a ventilator. Doctors overseeing her care thought she was brain-dead.

In Texas, doctors can withdraw life-sustaining measures once patients are declared brain dead.

Camp’s parents sued the hospital to stop the test to determine if she was brain dead, citing their “firmly held religious beliefs,” according to the New York Times.

At the time, the hospital issued a statement insisting that “further testing will help guide care and there are no imminent plans to end care regardless of results.”

The case drew attention from Texas Attorney General and Senate hopeful Ken Paxton, who said in early June that the toddler deserved a medical team willing to fight as hard as her.

“I am closely monitoring this case and will act to protect this child and honor her parents’ efforts to save her,” he said at the time.

Camp was moved to Ochsner Children’s Hospital in Louisiana later that month.

In an update on her fundraising page, her family said the little girl was showing “encouraging signs” just weeks before her death, including “strong organ function” and “excellent oxygen levels.”

“We are pursuing every available option, including specialized and exploratory treatments that show promise,” they wrote July 13. “In recent weeks, we have seen the Lord move mountains that once seemed impossible.”

Camp’s family was exploring the possibility of hyperbaric oxygen and stem cell treatments.
