Congresswoman Alexandria “AOC” Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) stirred an online frenzy this week after giving a provocative response while being interviewed on the streets of DC.
On Wednesday, TMZ caught up AOC in the rain and asked her a series of goofy inquiries about politics which she was happy to play along with. The interview began innocently enough and did not seem like it would create anything newsworthy.
Then, TMZ dropped this daring question to AOC:
“What do you think we’re going to have first: Are we going to have a female president first or a gay president?”
AOC grinned from ear-to-ear and cocked her head before dropping this intriguing reply:
“Oooh, we don’t know if we’ve already had a gay president,” she said.
“I think there are chances that maybe we have but I don’t know,” AOC added while continuing to grin.
