Blood-soaked California poachers arrested after cops make horrifying discovery

Three blood-soaked California poachers got caught red-handed at a national park with headless deer stuffed inside trash bags.

Officers arrested the individuals on Friday after receiving tips that they were illegally hunting deer at Angeles National Park in Los Angeles County.

“After receiving a tip from a vigilant member of the public, officers conducted targeted night patrols in the area. During one of the patrols, officers observed two vehicles off‑roading and shining a spotlight into the forest; an illegal and highly dangerous method of hunting,” the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) announced.

“Officers stopped both vehicles and detained three individuals. During initial contact, officers noticed blood on the suspects’ clothing and hands, prompting a comprehensive investigation,” the agency added on.

They then found guns and two female deer. One deer was completely skinned while the other was cut into four pieces.

Both of the deer were headless and discovered inside of black trash bags. The suspects then allegedly admitted to illegally killing the deer and trying to hide the evidence.

All three were arrested but released on the agreement that they would appear in court.

The arrests came as almost two dozen deer hunt zones across the state opened up for rifle hunting on September 19.

“Deer tag sales in 2025 generated nearly $7 million in revenue, which provided crucial funding for big game conservation, habitat protection and restoration, and scientific research,” CDFW wrote last week.

The CDFW also arrested lobster poachers at the Santa Monica Pier about two months ago.

A total of 34 lobsters, including several egg-bearing females, were discovered and eventually let back into the sea.
