Former US Attorney General Pam Bondi is heading back to the private sector — and her Epstein fumble won’t slow her down one bit, sources told The Post.
Bondi, who oversaw a sweeping purge of Department of Justice officials before her abrupt April 2 exit, is eyeing a return to her former law firm, corporate board seats and a lucrative next act tied to her Trump connections, with her inner-circle ties intact despite the firestorm the Epstein files.
“I think Pam’s potential is unlimited,” said Brian Ballard, who brought his Tallahassee firm Ballard Partners, where Bondi was a partner, to DC to become a lobbying powerhouse in the nation’s Capital.
“I think she’s well liked and had good contacts,” said one former senior Trump Administration official. “She will make a boat load of money.”
The former Florida AG’s career has included high profile prosecutions and contracts representing well-heeled clients. Bondi registered as a lobbyist for the Qatari embassy in the US in 2019, declaring payments of $115,000 per year before leaving to defend Trump in his first impeachment trial.
Bondi has been coy about what’s next, posting last week about “moving to an important private sector role I am thrilled about.” One source said Bondi would do “a combination of things” rather than accept a single role.
Before she can pull in the big bucks, Bondi has to sort through some unfinished business with Congress.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee scrubbed her scheduled Epstein testimony next week. But panel members, including Rep. Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina), have demanded she testify as a private citizen.
“We are expecting it to happen at some point,” said a source familiar with the fight for testimony.
She still has powerful contacts. Sen. Ashley Moody (R-Fla.), who succeeded Bondi as Florida AG, called Bondi a “true patriot, and a dear friend” after her firing. She is close to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, although the fellow Floridian told Vanity Fair Bondi “completely whiffed” appreciating the dynamics of interest in the Epstein files.
