Liberal celebrities are at it again.
Jamie Lee Curtis, Robert De Niro, Martin Sheen and others, have filmed themselves pledging an oath of loyalty to the U.S. Constitution. It sounds nice enough, but we have to wonder how many of these people are planning to vote for DSA candidates in November.
Why do so many celebrities seem to have such a need to do this? It’s always so cringe.
USA Journal has details:
Jamie Lee Curtis and Robert De Niro are headlining a new celebrity campaign in which participants recite the U.S. constitutional oath, pledging to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” The effort, which does not name President Trump directly, has drawn immediate criticism as a thinly veiled anti-Trump resistance push nearly two years into his second term.
The campaign is called the Oath Project and is organized under the American Constitution Society, which frames it as a nonpartisan effort open to all Americans in honor of Constitution Day. Participants so far include Curtis, De Niro, Martin Sheen, Noah Wyle and Barbra Streisand, all publicly associated with left-leaning political views…
Skeptics were quick to point out the political profile of those involved. Conservative commentator Joel Pollak wrote, “Nothing is funnier than lefties claiming they love the Constitution.” Comedian Adam Carolla responded to the video by asking, “They didn’t sing Imagine?” a reference to the much-mocked 2020 celebrity video that drew widespread ridicule online.
