The “Happiest Place on Earth” also comes with the country’s highest estimated price tag, as Disneyland topped a new list of America’s least affordable theme parks.
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo was named the most affordable California theme park and ranked No. 14 nationwide, with an estimated total cost of $159.44, according to HomeToGo.
The figure included $71.44 in additional trip expenses, a $49 admission ticket and $39 for parking.
Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia was the next California attraction on the list, placing No. 20 with a total estimated cost of $171.12.
A visit included $66.12 in other expenses, a $65 ticket and a $40 parking charge.
Belmont Park in San Diego ranked No. 25 overall and was the only California attraction listed with free parking. Its $64.95 admission cost and $130.60 in other expenses brought the estimated total to $195.55.
California’s Great America in Santa Clara came in at No. 30, costing an estimated $223.34. That total included $129.34 in additional expenses, a $55 ticket and $39 for parking.
Knott’s Berry Farm followed at No. 31, with its estimated $231.91 price tag made up of $112.91 in other costs, $79 in admission and $40 in parking.
The state’s best-known movie-themed destination was considerably less wallet-friendly: Universal Studios Hollywood ranked No. 36, with a $154 ticket, $40 parking and $74.39 in additional expenses, pushing the total to $268.39.
Disneyland Park and neighboring Disney California Adventure Park tied for last place at No. 39. Each Anaheim park carried an estimated total cost of $331.03, including a $199 admission ticket, $40 for parking and $92.03 in other expenses.

That made a day at either Disney park more than twice as expensive as a trip to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, according to the ranking.
Connecticut’s Quassy Amusement Park was crowned the most affordable attraction in the country, with a total estimated cost of just $76.43.
It was followed by Fun Spot America Themepark in Orlando at $117.56 and Arizona’s Castles N’ Coasters at $129.63.
Florida’s Magic Kingdom was the third-most expensive attraction analyzed, ranking No. 38 with an estimated total cost of $296.80.
California placed eight attractions on the list, with costs ranging from $159.44 at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to $331.03 at the two Disneyland Resort parks.
For anyone planning a day at the theme park this summer, the rankings suggest shopping around could pay off.
