Twisted teen gunman John J. Griffin II has been pictured for the first time — glaring menacingly at the camera — since he unleashed a deadly mass shooting at an Oregon elementary school.
Griffin, 16, is seen in the eerie photo posted on Facebook by his mother, Shauntai May Nickerson, on Sept. 10 — just over a month before he killed three students, ages 5, 8, and 11, and a teacher at Silver Rail Elementary School on Thursday.
The mustachioed teen appears sullen and miserable in the snap while wearing an oversized hoodie alongside Nickerson in front of a waterfall.
Griffin opened fire with a Maverick 88, a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, previously purchased by his mother, law-enforcement sources said.
He first threw the deadly firearm over the fence at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend around 1 p.m. and hopped over, sources said.
The crazed teen then tried to enter through the school’s front door but was blocked by two bystanders, sources said.

Griffin ran around to the school’s back and shot at the locks on the doors, which were specially designed to prevent such tragedies, to break inside.
There, the young gunman stormed toward the special education classroom, where he was once a student.
He was fatally shot by hero dad, Kaylub Giamanco, who saw Griffin enter the building with a gun while driving home for his lunch break.

Griffin also critically injured another student, 7, and a teacher, 54. The 7-year-old student is in a wheelchair and was shot in the face during the rampage.
The mother and son also appeared in a 2020 article about students in the Bend-La Pine School District’s NEST program — a specialized program for students experiencing intensive behavioral and social skills challenges — returning to the classroom after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nickerson told KTVZ21 at the time that her 10-year-old son, whom she referred to by the first name “Griffin,” was struggling with learning from home.
“I think it will be great for Griffin, because I am not certified teaching a special needs student,” Nickerson told the outlet. “And I think it will be great for my son to get the help that he needs from the skilled teachers that he needs to get it from.”
The mom sobbed and smoked a cigarette while waving away reporters on the porch of her apartment on Friday.
The mother insisted Griffin was “a good boy, he really was.
“I’m so sorry, I wish I could have done something. I’m sorry for their loss,” she said, referring to the parents of those killed, according to CNN.
“I miss him,” she said of her son, who was killed after his slaughter. “If I could have prevented this, I would have.”
