Founder of ‘Punjabi Devils’ outlaw biker gang who tried to flee to India learns fate after massive bust

The founder of the outlaw biker gang “Punjabi Devils” will spend the next five years behind bars following a massive illegal firearms bust in the Central Valley.

Jashanpreet Singh, 27, was sentenced on Monday by a U.S. District Judge to five years and four months in prison for the unlawful dealing of firearms and unlawful possession of a machine gun, the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California announced.

Singh is the boss of the Stockton-based biker gang associated with the Hells Angels.

He was busted in June 2025 trying to sell illegal weapons to an undercover officer — including assault weapons, three machine gun converters and other guns, the DOJ said.

During a search of his property, officers said they found additional firearms and a fused “pineapple” hand grenade and a military electronic capped “claymore” mine and had to detonate the explosives at the residence, per the release.

A month later, he skipped his court appearance in San Joaquin County court on state charges. Officials said he was trying to flee the state and head to India.

US Customs and Border Protection agents were waiting for him on July 23 at San Francisco International Airport as he tried to catch a flight out of America, according to the DOJ.

He was then taken into federal custody where he remains. In February, the feds said he pleaded guilty to trying to sell illegal firearms.

The case is part of “Operation Take Bake America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime,” per the DOJ.
