A vile hospital worker was found with masses of child porn that hardened cops called the “most disturbing” they had ever seen — and messages showing he thinks child rape should be legalized.
Benjamin Naylor, 32, of Deer Park, Ohio, was first ensnared by an online vigilante group, Predator Poachers, who pretended to be a 13-year-old boy, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
“Age is just a number,” Naylor told the decoy — before being confronted at the Cincinnati hospital where he worlked, confessing during a 40-minute, livestreamed showdown to exchanging child porn.
Police then busted him — and found harrowing videos and images on his cellphone of kids as young as month-old babies.
In one video, a child can be heard screaming for the attacker to stop.
“I’ve been doing this kind of investigation for a long time, and I will say that the images that Mr. Naylor had were some of the absolute worst I’ve ever seen, and the chats were alarming,” Cincinnati Police Detective Mary Braun told Judge Wende Cross during sentencing.
During an online chat, Naylor described his fantasy to “meet up with a perv dad and his boy for sex,” according to prosecutors.
The horrific material was part of a chat on an app Naylor was having with a person who had the username “Active Perv,” with Naylor describing his fantasy to “meet up with a perv dad and his boy for sex.”
“I’ve never seen chats like that,” Braun said. “It was some of the most disturbing content that my unit has come across.”
He pleaded guilty to eight counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and one count of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in a state of nudity. He was sentenced to 7 to 9½ years in prison.
His chats suggested, however, that he didn’t believe he was in the wrong.
“He does not think child rape should be criminalized. In fact, he wants it legalized,” Assistant Prosecutor Elyse Deters during Monday’s sentencing, as reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Naylor’s defense attorney claimed that his client was intellectually disabled, legally blind, had never had a significant other, and didn’t understand what he had done was wrong.
“[Your diagnosis] does not excuse this conduct, and it does not diminish the harm to the children depicted in this material,” Judge Wende Cross told Naylor during sentencing.
“You are before this court as an adult who made choices over a sustained period of time and across nine counts, and you are accountable for those choices.”
In addition to his prison sentence, Naylor must undergo treatment and register as a tier two sex offender.
He will also serve five years of post-release control.
