IKEA is going small, but strategic, in Los Angeles.

The global giant is set to unveil a new urban-format store in Culver City’s Helm Design District, with doors officially set to open May 2.

Located at 3225 A Helms Avenue, the 38,050-square-foot space marks the company’s 11th California location and its first city-center concept in LA.

Forget the sprawling blue-box warehouses.

This scaled-down outpost is designed with city living in mind, aiming to bring the IKEA experience closer to Westside residents who don’t want to trek to the suburbs.

The store will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and sits conveniently near the 405 and 10 freeways.

Parking will be available within the Helms Design District, along with free spots across the street at Venice Boulevard and Helms Avenue.

Customers can book free one-on-one consultations for kitchens and bedrooms, while displays highlight solutions tailored to LA lifestyles.

While larger furniture items won’t be stocked on-site, shoppers can walk out with around 3,000 smaller products and 600 furniture pieces available for immediate purchase.

And if you’re hungry don’t expect the classic full-service IKEA restaurant.

Shoppers eager to get a first look won’t have to wait until opening day.

A soft opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for April 29 at 10 a.m., where the first 100 visitors will snag a $100 IKEA gift card.

The grand opening celebration on May 2 kicks off at 10 a.m., followed by a block party running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Expect live music, free coffee, food samples, giveaways and activities for kids.

The first 500 customers will also receive a custom IKEA blue bag.
