Jake Tapper recently did a report on the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that happened five years ago. Somehow, Tapper failed to mention Joe Biden’s name even once, even though Joe Biden was president at the time, yet repeatedly dropped Trump’s name even though he had nothing to do with it.
This is especially stunning when you consider that the Afghan withdrawal destroyed Joe Biden’s approval ratings, which never recovered.
It is sometimes easy to forget just how biased our media really is, then something like this happens and it all comes rushing back.

Objectivity in the media stands as the elusive conceit for many. Journalists love to tout that as their standard, yet for so many, it stands as a supreme challenge. Look, we get it; the desire to slam President Trump and the administration is substantial, but when Jake Tapper cannot even deliver the barest amount of balance, well, that is a sign of a problem.
Maybe it is a pathology. The effects of TDS are substantial, sure, but can there not be some sign of an effort being applied? Tapper set the table to serve both sides, then removed the chairs to prevent participation in one half of the setting…
Throughout his soliloquy, the name “Joe Biden” was never uttered. The former president was never pictured in the graphics as the CNN anchor spoke, unlike the current officeholders. This is a remarkable effort to elide by the host, given the stern descriptions he gave of the extraction from Kabul. Something that stands as one of the biggest scars on the Biden term in the White House does not merit mention of the man?!

JAKE TAPPER: It was five years ago this weekend that Kabul and Afghanistan fell to the Taliban, bringing a disastrous end to America’s longest war. The horrific scenes that followed still, to this day, shock the conscience. The crowds of desperate Afghans on the tarmac or packed into planes trying desperately to escape, or the 13 American service members killed in the Abbey Gate bombing along with countless Afghan civilians.
Five years later, more than 2 million Afghan girls are currently blocked from attending school by the Taliban, according to UNESCO. It’s now legal in Afghanistan for men to beat their wives, as long as they don’t break any bones or leave any lasting injuries. Meanwhile, many Afghans who fought with the U.S., risked their lives for the U.S., remain stranded abroad after the Trump administration halted the Special Immigrant Visa program. And many of those who did make it to the United States, to this day, live in fear that their green cards will be revoked.

Reporting on the Afghanistan withdrawal without mentioning Joe Biden even once is beyond media bias.
