Kevin Reddington reveals how Trump could help Lindsay Clancy — after acknowledging president can’t pardon killer mom

Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer revealed what he really wants from President Trump after acknowledging the prez wouldn’t be able to pardon the killer mom.

“The goal is pretty simple, it’s to seek help from Trump,” Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, told WBZ’s Kristina Rex Tuesday. “If President Trump feels that this is a case that warrants that type of intervention from the executive branch… even though legally it’s not a federal case, he certainly has an awful lot of clout.”

“Were he hypothetically to reach out to [District Attorney] Tim Cruz, you know they’re both Republicans… Maybe that would be something that Tim would listen to and consider… I think any help that we can get is helpful,” the defense attorney said.

Reddington, 75, was clarifying a statement he made on “Good Morning America” earlier Tuesday when he asked for Trump to pardon the 36-year-old Duxbury, Massachusetts mom on first-degree murder charges for fatally strangling her three kids on Jan. 24, 2023.

But since this is a state case and not a federal one, Trump wouldn’t be able to issue a pardon on Clancy’s behalf.

A judge declared a mistrial in Clancy’s high-profile case Friday after a jury announced they were hopelessly deadlocked.

Cruz’s office has not announced how they will proceed with the case and whether it will retry Clancy on the same charges, downgrade the charges, seek a plea deal with her or drop the case altogether.
