Reut now denies having shot her and blames her accomplice.
This is a rather convoluted story, so let’s recap:
1 – Ukrainian Vadim Eermolaev, a sanctioned enemy of Kiev regime, was a victim of a terrorist bomb attack in his mansion in Monaco.
2 – A Ukrainian woman, Anastasiia Berezovska, was named a suspect after she was caught in CCTV images. She was said to have fled to ‘Germany’.
3 – Berezovska, who had actually fled to Ukraine, not Germany, is found shot dead on the outskirts of Kiev.
4 – A decorated Ukrainian military intel agent, Vladyslav Reut, admits to her killing, but says that he acted on his own initiative, without orders from the GUR.
But yesterday, Reut claimed he ‘did not pull the trigger’, blaming his former SBU cop accomplice instead.

BBC reported:
“In court in Kyiv for a custody hearing on Thursday, Vladyslav Reut – who a few days ago led investigators to Anastasiia Berezovska’s grave in the woods – said that he ‘categorically denied’ committing her murder and blamed his alleged accomplice instead.
This murky case is capturing attention because Reut is an active and decorated officer of Ukraine’s military intelligence agency, GUR, and his co-defendant Vitalii Zhykovych worked for the SBU security service until recently.”
Watch: The court has remanded Vladyslav Reut in pre-trial custody.
Підозрюваному у вбивстві Анастасії Березовської обрали запобіжний захід. Суд відправив Владислава Реута під варту.

The Prosecutor’s Office has requested detention without the right to bail for GUR (Main Intelligence Directorate) operative Vladislav Reut, who confessed to the murder of Berezovska.

The BBC report states that ‘the motive for the Monaco blast that targeted Vadym Ermolaev remains unclear’ – but a simple Cui Bono? (‘who profits?’) should reveal the main suspects.
Spoiler alert: it’s the Kiev regime.
Russian press, quoting Ukrainian sources, is saying that the oligarch was about to reveal Kiev’s corruption schemes, and that the special services are trying to cover their links to the Monaco bombing and the Kiev shooting of the suspect.
EU prosecutors may soon be well informed about that, since Ermolaev, who did not die in the attack, has regained consciousness and is expected to make a deal to reveal information in exchange for protection.

Evidence suggesting the involvement of Kyiv’s intelligence agencies has arisen in court, The Guardian reported:
“Appearing in a Kyiv court on Thursday, Reut claimed Zhykovych was responsible for Berezovska’s cold-blooded killing. The two men took her at gunpoint to a forest near the village of Yuriv, 60km (40 miles) west of the capital.
‘Zhykovych fired the first shot at her in the back of the head. She fell down. He came up and fired another shot. I was standing a few metres away at that moment’, Reut told the judge.
He said four shots were fired before Zhykovych forced him to dig a hole, took all of Berezovska’s personal belongings and removed her trainers. He added: ‘I will insist on taking a polygraph to prove my innocence’.
Zhykovych’s lawyer, Anatoliy Ivanov, said his client denied the allegations.”
