Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s socialist comrade Claire Valdez unleashed a whiny rant on America’s grand 250th birthday.
“Freedom is only possible when we have the conditions for the good life — healthcare, housing, education, and dignity on the job. But the system is rigged and our planet poisoned by billionaires, bosses, and war profiteers,” the New York City 7th District congressional candidate, originally from Lubbock, Texas, seethed wrote on X.

“This 4th of July we recommit ourselves to remaking it. To fight for liberation from Palestine to Puerto Rico, for a Green New Deal, for the world we deserve,” the cringey message read.
The message notably leaves out any mention of America or the United States.

Valdez was one of four insurgent socialists — including fellow New Yorker and former activist Darializa Avila Chevalier, Melat Kiros in Colorado and Chris Rabb in Pennsylvania — to pull off shocking primary victories in Democratic House races last month.

Valdez, one-term state Assembly member, had the backing of Mamdani.
